Terms of Service

These terms apply to the RecipeScan iOS app and recipescam.com, published by ZTABS (PRIVATE) LIMITED. By using RecipeScan, you agree to these terms.

1. What RecipeScan Does

RecipeScan uses on-device image classification and text recognition to help identify visible food, suggest meal starters, transcribe recipes and menus, and summarize nutrition labels. Version 1.0 is free, requires no account, and has no subscription or in-app purchase.

2. Estimates and Safety

Results may be incomplete or wrong. Food identification, ingredient suggestions, nutrition values, grades, and allergen flags are estimates for general information only. RecipeScan is not a medical device and does not provide medical or dietary advice.

Always verify ingredients, allergens, preparation methods, and nutrition with the manufacturer, restaurant, original recipe, or a qualified professional. Do not rely on RecipeScan where an error could cause an allergic reaction or other harm.

3. Your Content

You retain ownership of photos and text you process. You are responsible for having the right to use them. RecipeScan processes scans locally and does not claim ownership of your content.

4. Acceptable Use

You may not misuse RecipeScan, interfere with its operation, use it unlawfully, or infringe another person's rights. You may not present an estimated result as a verified medical, safety, or nutrition determination.

5. Availability

We may improve, change, or discontinue features. RecipeScan is provided on an "as available" basis to the extent permitted by law, without guarantees that every image or writing style can be recognized.

6. Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, ZTABS (PRIVATE) LIMITED is not liable for indirect, incidental, or consequential loss resulting from use of, or reliance on, RecipeScan. Nothing in these terms limits rights or liability that cannot legally be limited.

7. Apple

Apple is not responsible for RecipeScan or its support. Your use of the iOS app is also subject to the applicable Apple Media Services terms and App Store rules.

8. Changes

We may update these terms as the service changes. The effective date identifies the current version. Continued use after an update means you accept the updated terms.
